1. do you guys look at your email, I left you about 4 email I am missing one top cap and one bottom cap. your USA phone number is seem like there is no one ever there

  2. What if your local tempurature only gets to 10-15 degrees for less than a week at a time in winter, is that still cold for bees to go out and forage, can i take honey at any time if it does only get to that tempurature??

  3. I have had a flow hive for, well, too long and today finally picked up a nuc colony, so I have been watching all the videos; thanks. I was interested and surprised that you mentioned nectar and pollen but not propolis! I admit that it has only been in the last couple of years that I learnt about propolis via a collaboration with our chemistry colleagues at U Sydney. We (at U New England, Aust. and RBG Sydney and ABRS) have been working on taxonomy of Lepidosperma (some sedges). Together we just published a paper on part of propolis side of the collaboration:

Phytochemistry. 2016 Nov 24. pii: S0031-9422(16)30255-2. doi: 10.1016/j.phytochem.2016.11.005. [Epub ahead of print]
A sedge plant as the source of Kangaroo Island propolis rich in prenylated p-coumarate ester and stilbenes.

  4. hi we have a coffee plantation here and im planning to start a bee farm and just wondering how the taste of honey will be with coffee flowers

  5. There are no any beekeepers in my area, therefore, it seems to be very difficult for me to start beekeeping because I have many questions.
I'm posting my questions here, a few of them, please help me out with these.
I live in Pakistan, where in Summer, the temperature goes upto 48C, will my bees survive this much heat?
I live in an urban area, not much plants or flowers are there at my residence. I'm planning to start beekeeping with not much colonies, let's say 5, what amount of plants do I need?

I hope someone would be kind enough to guide me. Thank you.

  6. When you put the extra frames in between the ones from the nuc they were without wax foundation… is that better? is there s reason for it?

  7. We have only just assembled our Flow Hive. I've located a nuc supplier in Sydney which is about 2.5 hours drive south of where we live. So – firstly, we will need to transport the nuc to our property which is near Maitland, north west of Newcastle. I was wondering if this is not a good time of year to try to establish a new nuc. Would it be better to wait until spring to do this? I would not want to put a new lot of bees into the hive without enough flow season for them to establish sufficient food to survive over winter. Hope you can help. Thanks
