Cassava successfully cultivated in Chungcheongbuk-do Province

cassava has been successfully cultivated in a field in South Korea for the first
time chungcheongbuk-do Agricultural Research and extension services planted
cassava in mid-may and after nearly six months five kilograms of the vegetable
can be harvested every week if scaled up to tons of cassava can be produced per
square kilometre it is one of the world’s major crops according to the
UN’s Food and Agriculture Organization with 800 million people in over 25
countries consuming it it can also be used as starch and bio ethanol fuel
