In Kashmir Horticulture Incurs Losses in Millions Due To Unrest

The rates of our walnut and apple produce have dwindled which has landed us in a crisis. Our produce is ready but if the situation remains same we would have to feed all this to our cattle or dump in the river. Normally, a box of apples fetches us 800-1000 rupees but at the moment, nobody is willing to even take it for 100 rupees. They say where would we take the stock as the roads as well as the fruit market is shut. Tell us what we are supposed to do. We are unable to ferry the boxes as there is no transport available. Shall we carry the boxes on our shoulders?
